Welcome to Environmental Water Services Limited

May we take this opportunity to introduce Environmental Water Services Limited. EWS Ltd has been established since 1990 specialising in water hygiene services and been working for many years with high profile health & fitness leisure clubs and international hotel chains nationwide and throughout Europe.

Good maintenance and regular servicing, cleaning and chlorination of pipe systems, cold water storage tanks, swimming pool & spa balance tanks and associated pipework/systems, shower heads and DHW cylinders can greatly reduce the growth of bacteria which causes legionella pneumophila and waterborne bacteria to grow.

EWS Ltd specialise in all aspects of water hygiene works, particularly the sampling of all water facilities, cleaning and chlorination of water tanks, swimming pool & spa balance tanks and services in industrial and commercial premises.

Water tank replacement and remedial works
Water tank replacement and remedial works are also undertaken. All these works are carried out by fully qualified engineers. A chlorination certificate will be issued on completion of any chlorination work, and water sample results will be forwarded.

EWS Ltd employs the services of a fully qualified independent UKAS accredited microbiologist who carries out the analysis of the water samples. These samples are taken to ensure that the system is clear of contamination.

All EWS Ltd engineers are City & Guilds certified in Confined Spaces Training, (ie.vessel entry/water tanks), thermostatic mixing valve in-service testing and cold water storage tank cleaning and chlorination. EWS Ltd is LCA registered, Safecontractor and Constructionline accredited. One of our engineers is a senior member of The Water Management Society and Water Board approved Plumber.

We are constantly updating our records to ensure that we are fully conversant and compliant with current legislation appertaining to water hygiene, thus ensuring that every project carried out by EWS Ltd will be completed to the highest possible standard.

All works are completed to L8 specifications (The Health and Safety Commissions approved code of Practice L8 Legionnaires Disease), specifically HSG274 Part 2, and as outlined in the HSE: HSG282 – The control of legionella and other infectious agents in spa pool systems and HSG179 – managing Health and Safety in swimming pools (pool water advisory group).

We have an excellent relationship with our laboratory, who notify us immediately of any raised or positive readings. We in turn would contact the relevant site to inform them of the readings and necessary procedure to undertake in order to eradicate any microbiological count, and return to resample if required.
